Concerned about the Common
Core, History Fair can help! Working individual or collaborative student
will: Develop research skills, find analyze and make connections among primary
and secondary resources. This year’s theme is Revolution, Reaction, Reform
in History. History Fair meets many of the reading and writing Common Core standards
through one project 4-6
Reader’s
Faire Feb 24th
Each school is encouraged to have their
own Reader’s Faire and/or provide opportunities for students to practice their
Reader’s Theater. Each school may have 2 Reader’s Theater entries. Stories can
be currently adapted Reader’s Theater or a story that has been created by the
students K-2
Literacy
Learners is an on-line magazine for Jordan School District. Teachers can
send in two new entries per month. The entries are posted on our website. 2 - 6
Talented Young Writers:
Give your talented writers an opportunity to share their writing.
Talented Young Writers is a program that focuses and celebrates the “young
author”. The packets and
information are now available on the wiki site.
